We use both the cold process and cold process/oven process method when making our soaps.
We use wonderful vegetable oils (organic when possible) including but not limited to skin-nourishing olive oil, lathering and bubble-producing coconut oils (palm oils, too, but these soaps aren't listed on our web store yet), and specialty oils such as apricot kernal, avocado, macadamia nut, jojoba, and luxurious skin softening and emollient butters like shea, cocoa, and mango. In fact, almost all of our soaps contain shea butter, and you will feel the difference! Shea butter is GREAT for your skin. We also add other nutrients like pure and natural essential oils, herbs, clays, and sometimes colorants (micas, oxides, or ultramarines) and the highest quality fragrance oils. After mixing to a certain consistency, the soap is covered and left to rest for 24 hours to continue the heating and saponification. After which the soap is cut and left to dry for 4-6 weeks.
CP = Cold Process - Oils, water and lye are added together and no heat is applied in the process. The saponification process produces heat.
CPOP = Cold Process/Oven Process - The soap is made as in CP and then usually placed in a mold and heated in the oven at very low temperatures to achieve a gel.
Apply to a wet body, lather, and massage to your delight. Shave (if you want), and remember to rinse thoroughly. You do not need to scrub "hard" to exfoliate your skin.
CAUTION:
Care should be taken when entering and exiting the tub. We recommend using a non-slip bath mat.
