Recommended initial treatment: Massage cream into skin every 2-3 hours for 10-14 days. Minimize immersing hands in water - use vinyl gloves when washing dishes or using toilet [latex can cause allergic reaction]. Apply again at bedtime and wear cotton gloves. Apply cold compresses if eczema or itching is severe - do not apply ice directly onto skin. The itching and inflammation will begin to lessen within only a few days, and the eczema will recede substantially within 2 weeks. The skin should be healed, without breaks or cracks, and symptom-free of eczema within 30 days.
Maintenance treatment: Apply at least twice daily, mornings and before bedtime, and anytime when the skin starts to feel dry.
